Isabel and Friends Day
Join us on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th August as we venture into the world of Pauline Hazelwood’s Saddletank books of which our own engine Isabel is a star!
Isabel will be showing off now that she is even more famous than ever, thanks to her true story being published.
Learn about her origins, how she got her name, and her journey starting in Stafford, and how she came to have a home with us at Amerton Railway. You might even find out about some other engines in the stories!
The author herself will be with us on the Saturday, telling the true stories of Isabel and engines just like her who have been on impressive journeys, as well as signing your copies of the books, so don’t forget to bring them with you! If you haven’t already got a copy, you can buy them on the day.
(Please note this was originally planned for the Sunday but due to unforeseen circumstances has had to be moved to the Saturday)
And Isabel will be having a friend join her!
Peter Pan will be along as well so you get two steam engines both days!
While with us you can design your own Isabel! What colour do you think she would look good in? Maybe a bright red or a pale blue… how about some spirals?
Trains run from 11:30 until 16:30, following our Steam timetable and there is no need to book!
Ticket Prices:
Adults: £3.00
Children: £2.50
Concessions: £2.50
Ticket prices include two round trips on the railway as well as story telling by the author on the Saturday. Other activities are to be confirmed.
