Come and join us for our Santa Specials in 2026!
Board a steam train at Amerton Station and travel to Toyland to meet Santa and receive a hand-picked gift! You also receive a festive goodie bag to enjoy while surrounded by beautiful Staffordshire countryside as the train meanders through the fields on a frosty winter’s day.
Each compartment will receive a goodie bag with treats, Amerton Railway colouring sheets, puzzles, and colouring pencils. Children receive a hand-picked Christmas present from Santa, and for the adults, a warm mince pie and sherry or orange juice.

Booking Information
Tickets are for the entire compartment on the train carriage; you do not require one for each guest. Numbers are given below for the adult seating space, of course, children take up a little less room, but we hope this allows you to best judge your space requirements.
All of our bookings are provided by FareHarbor, or booked by telephone on 01889271337.
We do not use any other booking suppliers and bookings are non-transferrable, if you are unsure, please ask.
The accessible compartment will carry one wheelchair and has a bench that will seat 3 adults comfortably, if you book this compartment without a wheelchair, it will seat 6 people, but please book other compartments first.
Large groups/ multiple compartment bookings: Please bear in mind that there is only one small, one large, and one accessible compartment per train. Please use the seat booking system to choose compartments that are next to eachother on the same carriage if you wish to sit together.
On our booking system, you will be asked about the ages and gender of the children, this is so we can make sure Santa picks out the best present for them.
Group Bookings & Special Requests
Bringing a big family or a large group of friends to see Santa? We’re happy to help! Our online booking system works great for most groups, but if you want to ensure everyone sits together, just let us know, you can book an entire train if it is available! Email santa@amertonrailway.co.uk, message us on Facebook, or call 01889271337 and we’ll arrange it.
We are also happy to accommodate special requests wherever possible. Please contact us in advance, and we would be happy to help with your arrangements.
We may also be able to offer discounts to large groups and other non-profit groups if you contact us in advance.
It’s all for Charity!
This event is organised by our volunteers to support the charity that maintains our heritage steam and diesel locomotives. All of our volunteers are very enthusiastic and are eager to make sure your visit is as unique and memorable as possible. If you have any questions or special requests, please let us know!
In the past, we’ve had marriage proposals (with the ring presented by Santa!), pregnancy and baby gender reveals, as well as special birthday or Christmas presents!
We have presents for children of all ages from babies to 9+.
Please note that you will be unable to book tickets for a train on the same day you wish to travel, booking closes at midnight.
